Pauline Glass (1908-1979) was a well known painter mainly in oil and gouache of landscapes, portraits and still life. She studied art at the Academie des Beaux Arts in Brussels, and at Birmingham College of Art under Bernard Fleetwood-Walker. Glass exhibited widely including at the Royal Academy from 1937, New English Art Club from 1948, Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Womens International Art Club, Society of Women Artists and the Royal Society of Birmingham Artists of which group she was one time Vice President. Pauline Glass lived at Harborne, Birmingham for many years.
