John Fraser...
Works in stock John Fraser, RBA (1858-1927) was a well established painter of marines in oil and watercolour, some of which are historical subjects.  Fraser exhibited extensively at the Royal Academy 1880-1919, also at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Royal Institute of Watercolour Painters, the Walker Art Gallery Liverpool, the Fine Art Society, and with the Royal Society of British Artists to which group he was elected a member in 1889.  He lived mainly in London and is represented in the National Maritime Museum by seventy-two examples of his work..
