Works in stock Eve Kirk (1900-1969) was a well known painter in oils of extensive urban scenes, landscapes, portraits and figure subjects. Born in London, she studied at the Slade School 1919-22. Her work was exhibited at the New English Art Club from 1924. Her first solo show was at the Paterson Gallery in London 1930, and she had other solo shows at Arthur Tooth & Sons 1932 & 1935, The Leicester Galleries in April 1943, and Lefevre 1949. She exhibited just once at the Royal Academy, in 1953. By about the mid 1950s she went to live in Italy and gave up painting. She died in Siena. Eve Kirk’s work is held by a number of public collections including The Tate Gallery, Arts Council Collection, Government Art Collection, Imperial War Museum, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Manchester City Art Galleries, the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery, and RAF Museum.
